Today while visiting tuxmachines, I’ve found a nice article about Linux Mint XFCE, which is based on Debian Testing instead of Ubuntu.

The advantages of this, is yes, you Debian instead of Ubuntu :), well now seriously.

You do not have to upgrade every six months, as Mint Debian Editions are rolling releases, so, constantly evolving instead of upgrading every six months.

The disadvantages are that you have a slightly less stable distribution, I have never used Mint, but I have used Debian testing for years and never faced problems, well almost never.

If you want to know more about Linux Mint Debian Edition XFCE read that nice revision.

If you liked this article please share it.
