Free Lotus Symphony - IBM Office suite
Follow @ggarronIBM's offices suite a.k.a. Lotus Symphony has released its Beta 2, Symphony gives the user three major applications.
- Word Processor
- Spread Sheet
- Presentations
You need to download the .binfile which has 200 Mbytes size, and you need 562 MBytes of free space to install it.
It supports Suse and RedHat, according to IBM's site, I have installed on Centos 5, and works great.
According to its site these are the requirements are:
- At least 750MB of free disk space on Linux and at least 540MB of free disk space on Windows
- At least 512MB RAM memory
- Windows installer does not support AMD64 CPU with XP/Vista 64 bit platforms installed
I have installed it on a VMware machine with Centos 5 Pentium IV 3. GHz and with 384 Mbytes RAM and worked great, but that was the only thing running on the VMware.
If you want to install on your computer, and once you have downloaded the .bin file give it execution permissions.
